bring back blogs (bbb)

the idea of starting a newsletter fills me with dread, the task of collecting emails and wondering who they belong to makes me feel like a club bouncer with no security protocols.

i’m going to begin sharing thoughts on what i’m reading and thinking about and feeling on this site, a traditional blog. my intention for this site is to have a slightly more unfiltered (but more organized) place to trace my ideas and interests across time, outside of corporate social media, which i have gotten ‘good’ at using, but which has been difficult to tether a sustaining practice and the structure and politics of which i have no control over or political alignment.

i’m hoping to develop a more regular writing practice, with no expectations of performance or audience. if nothing else, i want to hone my capacity to document and record, so that i can, as mia mingus says, leave evidence.

if you’re here, thank you. more soon!
